"It's an Inside Job"

When it looks like fear is destroying love more than the other way around, what do you do?

This is a video posted by my friend Susan May, responding to a question about fear vs. love. Someone had said to her that she was seeing more fear destroying love in the world than she was seeing love destroying fear, and wondered “what am I missing?”

I love Susan’s response. This is short, and I recommend just listening to the whole thing. But the takeaway for me is this part:

”I don’t think that we can change minds. I think we need to change hearts. And so we have to keep showing up. And if we show up scared and defensive and our hearts contracting, and scared of the other people that we’re trying to change… it’s not going to go too well.”

The book she mentions is “The Greatest Salesman in the World”, by Og Mandino.

And if I might insert my own shameless plug, my (free!) ebook, “Elixir of Fear” is also all about this very same theme. You can download it for free here.
