I’m the same age where that song was popular as I was finishing up with college and moving to a new city. I’ve always loved it and still mist up at the lyrics.

“I remember when we were driving, driving in your car

Speed so fast it felt like I was drunk

City lights lay out before us

And your arm felt nice wrapped ’round my shoulder

And I-I had a feeling that I belonged

I-I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone

You got a fast car

Is it fast enough so you can fly away?

You gotta make a decision

Leave tonight or live and die this way”

Have you seen Tucker Carlson’s interview of Brett Weinstein about the well-coordinated invasion of our country? It is telling that both major parties are content to allow this, regardless of the protestations of some Republicans. How can anyone still imagine our government works for us?

Thanks for sharing. Chapman’s has always been a voice I loved to hear.

This is fabulous. Watched them perform and was moved to tears seeing how star-struck Luke was and how much Tracy luxuriated in the appreciation she received...what a magical moment.

I read this too late to watch. I hope it was great. I wore out three CDs of that first Tracy Chapman effort with Fast Car on it. Hard to even think of a cut I didn’t love on it.

So hopeful. People coming back to their own lived experiences. Interacting as people. Love to see it.

The global predators and their puppets like Obama are trying to divide us to conquer us. And Race, religion and gender are being used to divide the country. Will they be successful? I don’t know
